Elevations

Here are our 3D elevations. We got 3 colour variations, still undecided which one looks best. We want to achieve an ultra modern industrial type of look

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Our Plans

So we signed the contract last year on the land and had plenty of time to research builders and go through heaps of display homes. We originally were going to go with a project builder but after talking to various builders- Clarendon, Plantation, Metricon, McCarthy etc it just didn't feel right.

We've decided to custom build and hire a building designer to help design our home. We know it's alot more involved and will be very time consuming but i think it will be worth it. We think it's the best way and a private builder will be alot more flexible through-out the builder and more hands on.

We still haven't decided on a builder yet but will be getting quotes in the next month or so.

Our block

Here's our block, lot 2116. Its North/West facing the city, sitting nice and elevated on the hill. Its virtually flat which is great and has city views, well you can see about 6-8 buildings which is better than nothing :)

Block is 477m2 which is exactly what we were after, less mowing.

The Rochedale Estate is under a body corp, so we have security, recreational centre with resort pool, 25m lap pool, gym, cafe, rumpus centre and movie theater. It's only missing a golf course lol.

Block of land done

So we decided to take the plunge and go ahead with our first build.
We put a deposit down for a block in September 2013 in the Rochedale Estates, Brisbane. Registration we hope will be May/June 2014.

We thought it would be fun to track our build via this blog, hopefully you can all get something out of this and would love your comments and feedback along the way.
